SMILE!

amanda, zack, bryan, joel, ash and me are the commitee members for the katong school (school for children with learning disability) sports day help in TP in october. thus, for the last few fridays, we have been holding meetings to discuss about the agenda for the day and other things. but today, we did something different....

we went to katong school today and for the first time, i really interact with the kids during their PE lesson. initially, i was quite afraid and uncertain what the kids will do the me. ( eg. like pull my hair, laugh at my height...) but to my utter astonishment, these kids are really friendly and nice.

although they have some learning disability, they are still friendly towards strangers. the teacher told us" they do not have guard against anyone, even strangers." i do not know why, but this action of theirs really touched me. you see, now in this modern society, do you still see anyone who will be unselfish and have no guard against each other? even kids in kindergarden now learn to protect their self interest and not others. i enjoyed every single moment i spent with the kids today, including doing simple warm up exercises and putting beanbags on my head. for once, i returned to my primary school life(:

the teacher really hope that we can continue to join the kids every friday for their PE lesson. and this will continue to the end of october, i think. this is better for the kids because they need some time to really warm up to us and be comfortable with our presence. this would then better facilitate the katong's school sport day held at TP.

every friday= more comittments=late for TPSD's friday sharing= ):

BUT

every friday=helping others=bringing joy to the little kids=learning to interact with the learning disabled= (:

how?! ):
